hello hello.. the time has come for yet another touch girls gathering :D

this time.. it's at EAST COAST PARK, where we will indulge in debauchery and feasting. ok im kidding. we will go CYCLING, then EAT DINNER at one of the ecp foodie places (cara's territory so we will leave her responsible for our dinner place) and then go chill and watch the stars (which by the way, is on my MUST DO LIST before uni starts.. and who else than my favourite girls to do it with :) )

so our gathering will start LATE AFTERNOON since some people have work and all. let's meet at ECP at 445pm. ahem some people who are late for outings should leave the house earlier. and we will all hang out until it is time to catch the last bus because we are all n00bs and cannot drive.

it is much less tiring to have a day movie marathon with free flow of food as compared to struggling to glue our eyes to the screen through the night dont yall think? :D
in any case...if yall still want a stayover i think kw will be quite agreeable. XD

as such...
meeting point is yck mrt station...at 1045am.
according to kw, the whole thing will be until 11 or 12 at night but i guess you can leave whenever you want. (for example 3 days later but i guess nobody wants to spend so much time with kw. XD)

the packing list! XD

1. sleeping bag. not for sleeping but sitting. or anything that is relatively comfy to sit/lie on. the house has no sofa/chair etc so unless you wanna sit on the floor for 12hours straight or fight with someone for a space on her sleeping bag, i suggest you bring that. (:

2. snacks! basically junk food. to last us through the 756527297812456278 movies. it's potluck so please bring something! (:

3. liquid. im thinking the 1.5litre bottle kind. if you're too lazy to lug that then will have to make do with the iced water dispenser of the fridge...which is basically tap water la.

4. extra clothes. the number of sets you have to bring is equal to the estimated number of times you think you will be dunked into the pool. (kw you'll need your entire wardrobe.)

hello hello.. just back from HK.. anyway YY posted an update below this so please read that too :D

since i missed the last timbre outing ( :( ) i want another one.. and i promised cara that i would organize the next one.. so here are details.. PLEASE TURN UP

it's THIS FRIDAY TO SATURDAY.. it's at Yio Chu Kang (AND YY IT IS NOT AN ABANDONED BUILDING!) contrary to yy's mistaken impression, it is not an abandoned building. it's my old house but the tenant moved out recently so we can occupy it for the time being.. there's a tiny pool and bbq pit, plus water/electricity is all working. so we can live there quite comfortably.

plus i have lots of new movies so i'll bring them over! we can watch on the big screen hopefully. :D i suggest we just order in food so we dont actually have to wash up or anything haha!

this is in one week's time. and because karwei missed the previous one, she wants another one in her honour. =D according to karwei, it's some abandoned building with a small pool, and bbq pit. thank goodness there's a fridge, water supply and electricity. so we might be having a bbq, or we can just order food & drinks. OH and lucky us, there's a projector too, so movie marathon will most probably be on, but of course we get by well just by chatting the night away as well. it is really quite abandoned, so please supply your own couches, sleeping bags, mats, pillows etc etc. =)

the enthusiastic people who turn up this time (like those that turned up the previous time =)), will actually finally GET their raffles t-shirts. hopefully.

it was gossip galore with a very enlightening session of truth or dare, which ended up as a interrogation session by aspiring interrogator, yours truly. =) drinks were lousy. food was quite good. weather was fine. band was late (at least by our standards). lots of fun & laughter. major catching up session (who's going where to study what etc..). turnout was pretty good. eventually there were 11. cos karwei stood us up. HEH. OH and service was bad when it hit 9 'o clock! as viola's facebook photo album is named "NO HAPPY HOUR LAST ORDERS?!?!?!" or something along those lines. but it was probably a busy night, cos I always thought service was pretty good there. so we were left parched for the remainder of the night (also because we could only have 'one round complimentary glass of water'). HAHAHAHA. but really lucky we managed to secure seats cos reservations were fully booked. so yup, my verdict for the night? AWESOME. =D heh. maybe i'm just biased. cos i was being self-high as people were starting to feel sleepy (glares at val & clara) so needed someone to bring up the atmosphere. =D hopefully next friday works out and more than 2 people turn up (i.e. karwei & i). HAHA.

it was a food-marathon-pretending-to-be-a-movie-marathon.

so...to convince everyone else to join us next week (as if the word "food" isnt enough), let me attempt to recall what we ate.

we watched the psycho french film and girl, interrupted (a psycho english film which sarah had previously watched 6 times). so yes it was really fun! XD

from what i can rmb...we planned to watch howls and fight club next week but we're open to suggestions!

Hey ya'll. Yay, at last, a new layout! I think we all got bored of the old one. Well, I did. But anyway, just a few stuff about this new layout. First and foremost, I hope I won't get any "why you use such a @$%^#*! unglam/ugly/retarded photo of me" complaints. But at least this time, I took the pains to actually select nice, public-friendly photos of each and everyone of you. (I must tell you though, the hardest to search for was Sarah cos almost all the photos I have of her on my comp are unglam). Ok next, I apologise for the not-so-accurate caricatures of everyone I've drawn. For example, inaccuracy of skin tone/height/size/idiosyncrasy. Like you see, Karwei is not the biggest person, when in real life she actually is. Cara has only one big bicep in the drawing. Kiat is skinnier than YY. And of course, Shiwei doesn't belong to Ming. I'm sure Ming has better taste than that. Oh and some of you don't have necks - I deeply apologise for that but don't blame me; blame my inadequacy at drawing humans instead. And almost everyone has mitten-like hands (which are cute, in my opinion) or Doraemonesque fists (which are even cuter). I think Kiat looks ultra cool with the shades - they're like transition lenses, semi-opaque, cool eh? Siok and Justina are supposed to be stretching but erm, Siok looks like she has osteoporosis (yet she's smiling) and Justina looks like she's dancing. And if you observe carefully, Karwei/Cara/Derelyn have thicker outlines - that is cos I drew the trio first and my marker had some problem and the ink sort of like overflowed? Then after a while, the ink started to run out, thus the barely-there outlines of Val, Nikki and Justina. And Tania, I'm sorry for the bad colour combi of your boots and socks. Bright orange and green, very carroty and I don't think anyone of you would wear such a ghastly combi, right? But anyway, I enjoyed drawing Khai the most but I have to say the cutest of all would have to be Lemin (I even added a flower to her hair hehe) Best pose goes to XT+Shan combi - it's supposed to be a heart by the way! I hope my drawing's not that bad for you to realise that. Lastly, this layout took like ages for me to complete cos I suck at drawing and nice photos were hard to find. And this is not the sort of layout I'd make, cos I prefer monochromatic designs or at most, 3 colours designs (refer to previous layout). But anyway, I hope you all like it anyway! Cos I like it XD HEH. The layout works in both Firefox and Internet Explorer although the coloured scrollbar (which is nicer) only works in IE. Oh and before I forget, the line in my thought bubble "obey your thirst" is actually the tagline for Sprite! (So I hope I'm not infringing any rules...) But anyway, cheers to Sprite, next time you go KFC or Macs, order Sprite!

But erm anyway, on a different note, I hope everyone did well for As! All the best to all of you and to whichever uni you're going to, in whichever country, in whichever planet. As for me, I did terribly and there's a high chance that I'll be retaking which means I'll be a J2 again. Ugh. Yep just to let you know, so you don't like freak out or anything... So erm come see me in school sometime haha! Taa!

HELLO PEOPLE! Okay our blog is almost dead, except maybe for the tagboard. Then again, inactivity is at an all time high right now, therefore we must take action! Singapore 36: Laos 0
Led by captain Serena Yeoh and vice-captain Aslinda Abdullah, the girls scored six tries against Laos in their opening pool game. Standoff Eunice Tay began the onslaught with the opening try and proceeded to convert her own try. Turning over possession at rucks, scrums and line-outs, Jeslyn Lim and Derelyn Chua scored two tries a piece. Prop Kristy Teh added a final try just before the final whistle.

Singapore 12: Thailand 14.
In the much-anticipated second game against arch-rivals Thailand, the home nation put in the first try off a scrum inside Singapore’s 22m. The girls’ relentless defence kept Thailand scoreless after that and they walked off at half-time trailing 0-7. Singapore then capitalised on a Thai slip-up at kick-off at the beginning of the second half to score through winger Chua. Tay narrowly missed the conversion, leaving the team trailing 5-7.

Superior scrummaging by the Singapore forwards then forced a turnover during a Thai scrum in the home team’s 22m for Lim to score her third try of the day. A successful conversion by Tay then put Singapore up 12-7. However, a miscommunication in defence allowed Thailand to equalise a minute before full time. With scores level at 12-12, Thailand re-took the lead and the game with a successful conversion.

Women’s Comp – Thailand finished first after the round robin competition, followed by Singapore, Laos and then Cambodia.

Men’s Comp – Malaysia finished first followed by Thailand, Singapore and Philippines in that order. Laos and Cambodia will play the 5th/6th Playoffs.

No injuries to both teams. Derelyn have recovered from the 1st day and should start in the semis.

Women’s will definitely play Thailand in the finals and in with a chance for the Gold.

Men’s – it will be a tough game against the Thais and the home crowd, but if we focus for the 14 minutes we are in with an even chance.

The women’s competition will definitely be a Thailand and Singapore Final – very straightforward as both teams are a few notches above Cambodia and Laos who are relatively new to the game. 14 points to 12 is the closest the ladies have ever been against Thailand in the last 2 years and they are quietly confident about their chances when they play against Thailand again tomorrow.

Men’s Competition
Malaysia is unbeaten so far defeating Thailand 15 – 10 and Philippines 17 – 12 yesterday. Thailand will have their home support but has picked up 1 or 2 injuries yesterday, as has Malaysia. Philippines will grow in stature through this tournament with their players mostly based and playing overseas, most notably Australia. The semi final will definitely be the three teams and us and we believe it will be anybody’s game tomorrow. We played well against Thailand in the 2nd half but 3 costly mistakes cost us 3 easy tries against Thailand. Today’s matches between us and Malaysia as well as Thailand against Philippines will decide who plays who in tomorrow’s semi-finals.

i went to look for some printers the other day.. i dont know if you guys still want drifit? cos if you guys prefer a tee that is cotton > drifit i have the MOST FANTASTICO TEE. its a hanes tee! (which is what 37degrees uses for their shirts) and prices are really good in my opinion..

for 5 colours its about 19, for four colours its about 17.. i think thats a pretty good offer since the shirt quality is awesome.

Remember our contacts tournament? There was a team called Barbarians that I helped played for a few games (but that barbarians is not way like the original. but the 'concept' is the same - anyhow players from any team form one team). HAHA. now I know where that name came from.. legend has it that...

.. i hope. HAHA beware: LONG ENTRY. ok blogger is damn lag and so is the whole computer. and after i closed all the other windows.. it kinda became better. but i'm too fed up to do more spam.

ok firstly, this was what i messaged a few people while watching the first half-

"SA won 1st lineout with an england throw in. But first knockon by SA. Almost immediately, SA turnovers with England's possession at the ruck (england was really close to scoring a try). England loses lineout again. Penalty to SA in front of the pole. Habana does a humongous tackle on Sackey, but it is possibly the reason for penalty. Right at the corner, Jonny perfect kick. Habana another huge tackle on Sackey. suddenly another perfect penalty by monty. Apparently England tripped butch james when he chipped the ball. IMO-rubbish. Wilko missed first dropgoal. Tait playing badly (he slid and fell). SA get a penalty but at halfline. Steyn kicked well but missed. SA almost scored from chipping. England playing quite ok but still a bit of pingpong. SA almost scored magnificent try but apparently lost the ball. Smit few cm from tryline. 36min. E-SA: 3-6. Scrum at 5m. SA turnover almost sscored. Penalty to SA near try. HALF TIME 3-9."

"OMG. ENGLAND scores first try by 11 (cuerto)! Tait makes amends @ 42nd minute. NO TRY over vid's ref decision. he's aussie. PENALTY. WTF. Wait I support South Africa. Haha.. Successful penalty that hits pole."

Okay back to the 'controversial try'. I said and I remembered that i was really quite pissed la. Cos the replays were showed at least 20 times. but I realised that the ref made a really good call. BUT the rest of the referreeing was INCONSISTENT. that's the best word to describe Alain Rolland from Ireland. Even the more experienced commentators could not help but voice that view out REPEATEDLY.

"OH MAN. ROBINSON (england) is subbed! =( his last match ever! He looks like in great pain. Why catt go out?! But toby flood really cute."

The part about monty smashing into camera was by toby flood. England chipped the ball, flood and monty chased and I don't know if it is because of momentum or what.. but flood shoved monty. In a tight and tense affair in Paris on Saturday night, the Springboks came out on top to claim the William Webb Ellis trophy back from England - the trophy that they first won 12 years ago at Ellis Park in Johannesburg. In a game that was dominated by penalties, top points scorer of the world cup Percy Montgomery slotted four out of four, with young Francois Steyn successful at his second attempt from just inside the half way line.Wilkinson didn't have as big an impact as it was talked up to be for England, only getting two kicks over and missing two drops.

I have to specifically mention Steyn again. it was like WTF? he had 2 chances at the penalty from halfway, and he successful kicked the second one. it was seriously like amazing. haha.

The reality is that the team of the tournament won on the day. The Springboks were a lot of people's favourites from day one, and looked determined to complete their four year plan under coach Jake White. And they did just that. The didn't lose a game in the tournament and on the team have the top try scorer of the tournament and the top points scorer. Bryan Habana as also last night handed the pretigious IRB Player of the Year award.

perhaps I change my mind about the kicking thing. I was really rather frustrated by the pingpong strategy. But surprisingly there were a few good runs and possible tries that could have happened if not for several things - the ref's preference to give penalties, and one of jonny's dropkick when england were in their 7th phase (i think) of attack, quite a bad decision not just imo but in newspapers and stuff, and of course good defence.

Yes, we would have all liked to have seen a lot more running rugby and you would have to wonder why England were still kicking the ball away in the final 10 minutes when they were nine points adrift. But in reality that should be no surprise. England have done that all tournament to reach the final. We can just thank our lucky stars that their method didn't take them all the way to a consecutive title. Any chance the game had of reinventing itself would have disappeared in a white tidal wave of glory.

i mean if we really want to watch a kicking game we might as well watch soccer/football. -.- that's why rugby fans are different from soccer fans, we want to see flashy side-stepping, lightning fast running, great passes, interceptions, massive tackles and magnificient touchdowns.
i think england made a fantastic comeback from being touted as the worst defending champions ever. of course no one likes to lose, but they should really be very proud of what they have achieved and where they have came from to reach the finals of the world cup.

England and South Africa employed virtually identical tactics in a match, that while absorbing for its importance, was mostly dull. The match was all about managing risk. Both teams had decided that tries were going to be virtually impossible to score, given the quality of the defence. Therefore both teams decided the best approach was to play for position on the field and hope something happened from there. Given the only thing that could happen was a drop goal or a penalty, in effect the teams said to the referee: "you decide who will be world champion".

Australia especially does not have the assembly line of 120kg props and second rowers that come out of England and South Africa. And both countries produce athletic loose forwards with ball skills and vision, not the 110kg battering rams that we saw at Stade de France in the World Cup final.
Backs continue to get bigger and bigger. Matt Giteau and Dan Carter are now at the extreme small end of the range of size and weight for test match backs. They are rightly acknowledged as two of the most skilful players in world rugby. I doubt however that either would have been more effective than the far less skilful kicking and tackling machines that played in the World Cup final.

The All Blacks gave up control of their destiny; they started to hope instead of believe. They tried to get back control by playing faster and harder. Form became frenzy. Under pressure in big matches the only way back when you are struggling, behind on the scoreboard and with time running out, is to play the match one simple, accurate, ruthless step at a time. If the clock beats you, so be it, but at least you won't have beaten yourself. The All Blacks beat themselves.

it's past 2am and i'm really deprived of sleep. haha. maybe i'll comment more another day =) but while the world cup has been rather disappointing. there's 4 years for rugby to continue to mature.. and we can all wait in great anticipation (hopefully cos we're older we can like go pubbing for rugby matches together!) for RWC 2011 at NEW ZEALAND! =) can't wait. haha.

RWC 2007 OVER !

Ok so, South Africa won RWC 07 15-6. OH POOR ENGLAND! ): I wanted them to win but ah well, SA played better. Both sides had great defense but their attacking play were both just fucking lousy. And wow, the referee made some pretty bad decisions which most probably cost England the Web Ellis Trophy. But then again, England's play was messy - their line outs were terrible, as compared to SA's which went well most of the time and did alot to pressure the England defence line. And hmm, no tries were scored (well, England had their try disallowed, pfffft), all points were won through penalty. AND OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE, it's the bloody finals - and all I witnessed was a kicking game. Both teams can't even do a simple down the line attack. Well, that probably shows how tight both teams' defence were. Ok I shall stop rambling. Congratulations to SA, and my commiserations to England. But yay! RWC 2011, in New Zealand! :))

okay just wanted to blog about the RWC finals. :D im like unpro so yy please update with your detailed analysis of the match! haha.

ok firstly. as all you math pros have probably noticed...15 and 6 are multiples of...3! so...yep you're right. BUT i've got to say that the finals was still freaking exciting because there were numerous instances when both sides were SO SO CLOSE to scoring a try. i think england supporters are like @^$#&* over Mark Cueto's disallowed try. at least i thought prince william and harry looked darn pissed when the vid ref ruled it a no try. =X the scene of Cueto diving over the tryline and his foot going past the sideline was replayed so many times on tv that i can still see it in my brain now.

Gomarsall fed the ball wide and Cueto dived over in the corner, but the television match official correctly ruled he had just put a foot in touch as Danie Rossouw got across to make the tackle.

then there was the instance when the springboks were like 0.564643216487cm away from the tryline (ok maybe not but you get my drift). you can imagine the forwards from both teams pushing and stacking on top of one another and the human meat pile getting larger and larger but in the end i dunno what happened (sorry im noob) the ref gave south africa a penalty instead. which i thought was quite sad. nonetheless Percy Montgomery (he's pro! XD) nailed it to widen south africa's lead. i've got to say Montgomery is damn good at catching high balls. maybe cos i personally find it quite difficult to catch and cushion the ball properly (i think val understands what im talking about. XD)...basically he's pro. XD

ok back to the topic on the very very close try. when the men started to stand up, the camera suddenly focused on this english player whose entire face was WHITE. like white power all over his face. i was like O.o stunned for a while lol. then i realised that it was because his face was squashed on the painted tryline. LOL. (ok i apologize for laughing.)

i actually feel a tweeny bit sad for england. they played well considering the mess they were in 2 months ago. i quote a rwc blog on bbc:

Okay I saw the fluke try by England, but it is still a try. and it was more like france's fault and england capitalising on france's errors. I read in the papers that some ST panel (comprising of the National team's captain, SRU people and coaches..) dude thinks dropgoals should be reduced to 1 point (because of few matches that has been decided by dropgoals. for example, stephen larkham's freak dropgoal (he cannot kick AT ALL, you should go watch the commercial. it's super funny) that knocked south africa out in 1999. jonny's dropgoal against australia in 2003's finals, and this year's semis against france, yes they were leading by 2 points, but the dropgoal sealed the victory) but personally i think dropgoals are damn amazing. and of course if you read the excerpt on the origins of rugby (previously a try was done so as to secure a chance to kick, ie if the article wasn't joking) rugby is also about kicking. and it's an oval ball. no matter how many times my mum say it looks easy, all of us we've had the courage to TRY to kick a ball, would know it isn't as easy as it looks. and the 35m dropkick during englandvsfrance was like wth? haha.. yeah so i still think kicking and jonny's golden boot (how england is winning) shouldn't be slammed.

i saw highlights of the argentina vs south africa match while having tuition at my aunt's house (we were having dinner, so it was okay! haha). whee. feel a bit sad for argentina. ARGENTINA MUST BEAT FRANCE AGAIN! =) haha. the finals and 3/4 playoff will be like a repeated match. hopefully it'll be a more interesting match to watch. are any of you guys watching?

of course we all want to watch beautiful rugby. of course we want teams who play beautiful rugby to win. but at the end of the day, reality is reflected by the scoreline. and kicking can be beautiful WHAT. haha. but I'm supporting the springboks. for most deserving. maybe habana will set a new record for the most tries scored in wc. he is now equalled with lomu at 8.

The frustration for New Zealand is that they can be the best team in the world for virtually three years and 46 weeks in endless cycles and still come up short at the big one - the World Cup.

England are the exact opposite. To put it mildly, England have been crap ever since they won the World Cup in Australian four years ago... As you'd expect, it hasn't been terribly exciting, relying heavily on the boot of Wilkinson. But it has been mighty effective.

For now we'll have to marvel at the All Blacks consistency - consistency in winning matches season after season. But we'll also have to begrudgingly marvel at England's ability to grind out victories when it matters most.

In the beginning, a touchdown was worth nothing. It earned an attempt to kick a goal, that is why it was called a try. Rugby had split with football, but it still thought of itself as football. The only way to score was with the boot. Since players could also score a goal with a drop-kick or a penalty, tries were really a rather complicated way to go about things.

Over time, rugby folk realised that running and passing the ball were more fun and exciting for spectators. Tries gradually increased in value. Penalties and drop-goals are now worth three points. Since tries are worth five points, and seven if converted, it would seem to make far more sense to score that way. (haha that's why touch rugby owns. cos there's no kicking. pure genius devoted to scoring tries. HAHA.)

But one of the paradoxes of this World Cup is that teams have won with kicking, even though the kickers have generally struggled, in part because of issues with the balls.

What?! apparently this mean that those people are not playing ever again for the Allblacks? need some help here. I understand they'll be playing for overseas clubs (like Oliver is joining a french club) but why does that mean they retire from national duties? especially luke mcalister, he has to repay his debts by playing better for the national team in the next world cup. in the first match, i was honestly feeling a bit conflicted. towards the end, i really wanted australia to win. in the beginning, i was feeling sad thinking that it'll be the last time i see jason robinson play. wtf. i love stirling mortlock. oh man i felt damn sad when he kept missing his kicks. england played with a lot of heart and very aggressively. but still, i don't think the wallabies should have lost to penalties. it was heartbreaking. yet at the same time you can't deny wilkinson's kicking prowess. could possibly only fault aus from giving penalties away. blah sucks.

i was hoping that my heart would be like mended watching NZ thrash france. wtf. seriously i'm really damn pissed. ARGH the second try that france scored was a forward pass. blatantly obvious. maybe i'm not completely aware of rugby rules, but i thought forward pass was an offence. guess not. the ref took so long to approve of so'oialo try, and then just gave france the bloody forward pass try. and he kept picking on mccaw. maybe it's just me being oversensitive cos the commentators thought the ref was doing a great job. but he is a bloody inexperienced ref. and i didn't really get the mcalister sin bin thing. it looks 'unintentional' to me. but mcalister's try with carter and (was it collins!) was awesome. they could have done it so many more times. and what the hell was up with defence!! omgosh. and what was mcalister doing, a dropkick at halfway line with 30seconds to go?! well maybe if it was carter.. and what's with all the subs. crap. carter subbed out. then nick evans subbed out. and they had no flyhalf. and mcalister had to step up. yes he plays fly half or center but.. flyhalf is like how important right?! why are they so unlucky to get injured or for whatever 'tactical' reasons. and why why rockokoco didn't score! he was the only guy who scored the most against the french team and now when he's needed... kelleher to me, played well as a scrum half. but was subbed out and replaced by leonard, who i thought played quite well. oh man are all these people going to like retire? i hate it when they go off and retire after the world cup. hello, just got 'initiated into rugby fraternity'. sad.

NI HAO! Woohoo! I wanna thank you all for coming down to the field last Friday to play touch! Had lotsa fun and yeah, my whole body ached like mad throughout the weekend. I couldn't sit down properly to study - so I camped on the sofa in the living room reading Sherlock Holmes. And kudos to YY and Val for organising everything, for supplying the mooncakes and lanterns and candles and lighter and fire. So sad it rained while we were playing. But at least all who came got a chance to play, except SIOK YEN POW you slacker. Take care! Well after the games, some of us stayed back to feast on mooncakes (which were halal, thank you Val!) and play with lanterns in the dark. And made jump shots that turned out looking as though our souls are trying to escape our bodies. Ok enough talking, here are the photos! Enjoy, love! Konnichiwa! Ok, so, remember! Come down to the field from 4:30-6:30PM for touch! :) We're gonna have some fun, exercise a bit haha, roll around in the mud (but let's hope it doesn't rain tomorrow!) and get our long abandoned boots muddy! My boots are sitting on the shoe rack, not muddy, but DUSTY. Can you imagine? Dusty boots? And they're not smelly. I bet I can eat food off my boots. But then again, they're dusty. Oh yes, slap on some sunblock before playing tomorrow! I want everyone to be FAIR and lovely for grad night :D (fair is not pale, pasty, ghost-like, transparent) And must tone up those currently flabby and white arms. I predict that I won't be able to last 5 minutes playing on the field. I got breathless and woozy just climbing the stairs to LT1 this morning to check my U-graded chem papers. there's this bonus point thing i found out while reading the newspapers. 4 tries (at least) get one bonus point and losing teams who lose by close margin of 7 points or less also get bonus point. so if you lose 7 points or less but score at least 4 tries, do you get 2 bonus points? winners get 4 points. so in this case, winners get 5 points (4+1 bonus) and losers get 2 points. wah. haha.

Want to share something from rugbydump-

They slowed Ireland's ball, they defended courageously and they attacked opportunistically. The final score was 32-17 in Ireland's favour, but really, it was a night the Namibians will never forget. A night when college players took on seasoned professionals in the game we all love. This was the true spirit of rugby. Playing for the man next to you and never giving up is the way rugby was always meant to be played. Here's to Namibia and all developing rugby nations. If the World Cup has shown us one thing so far, it's that these smaller nations undoubtedly deserve their place on stage, as supporting roles in the greatest show on earth.

And what did we get? KEYCHAINS. Anyway, just some info, I'm not sure whether it has been confirmed but Khai's leaving RJC - he's gonna coach SRJC. I think it's to do with proximity of the school to his home. Plus, he's working and all and I suppose it's very troublesome, routine-like and tiring for him to travel to RJ like every week. But Derel will still be coaching RJ (: So sad, I mean, how can Khai leave us!?!?!?!

HELLO ALL!!

have you guys read toffa's endearing and heartwarming email yet?! i'm SUPER EXTREMELY EXCITED about contact rugby now. please it'll be so bloody awesome to play against thailand. it's scary but sooo very exciting. There'll actually be contested scrums and lineouts (i think). FORWARDS! new stuff to learn! =D come on, it's just 2 hours a week, it'll make us soo much more motivated to study and life will finally seem to have meaning again with training. life has been pretty much blergh since training stopped. ONCE in a LIFETIME opportunity and the last time we'll play contact together AS A TEAM. Please PLEASE PLEASE say yes! =)

And we should really take part in SHINE, after all we are defending cup champions. =D One of our first major tournament as a team last year, lots of good memories indeed. that one maybe don't really need to train la, so don't worry about your studies! just train one or two sessions before the tournament. it's all about having fun anyways =) plus after what I saw and experienced for IHC touch, I really think the situation isn't that jialat yet. hehe.

anyways, IHC touch was an interesting experience. the playing field was too small, the all tap-and-go rule was really weird (it was instinctive to dump and rollball), but the 3v2 idea from funtouch was genius. but guys are still guys and when competition heats up (even if it's just IHC) the playing gets rough. =P

edit- BTW, last training was rather disappointing. only 3 j2s turned up: toffa, cara and me. haha.. no worries, understandable! studies first. but it's good exercise. with exercise, it clears your mind, and makes your brain open up for mugging. ok too high.

yay touch IHC, 4th july right? don't even know if I'm in the team, since there's a cap at 8 per team but my house hasn't notified us about it. fiona sent the rules and it seems even different from blacksfuntouch 3v2. regardless, i want to play! we should all take part =)

Modified Rules:
1. Unlimited touches allowed
2. Back 3m (instead of 5m) every time a touch is taken
3. Tap and Go (instead of roll ball etc.) for any change over which will take place upon a try/a penalty, as well as after a touch is taken.

I see that we're all studying very hard! good good. after all the exco's 'vision' was to develop all rounders in skills, studies and character. HAHA.

got our jackets back today from pandian. blergh. the plastic bag stinks right, shan?! haha.. the jackets are in the cage, some of them are sealed in plastic bags (apparently he sent them in for laundry). HOWEVER, he has changed his mind about the price (but he says it was agreed upon since our first meeting in feb) and it is now $36. whatever.

anyways, everyone study hard! we'll survive CT2 and then maybe we can start playing touch together again =) for nationals hopefully. last tournament, end it with a bang! heh.

i am seriously sunburnt on the face. i look like a tomato minus the smooth skin. it's more like the texture of bak kwa.

okay firstly thanks to the j1s for organizing the touchrug camp :D

touch rug camp was good. i was dreading the end though. it meant two things- going back to the grindstone (actually the phrase 'going back' is a half-truth; it's more like just going) and i won't get to see my teammates again for a long long long while. i miss them already.

they keep me going back for trainings week after week and all our silly pranks and jokes that only we laugh at make me laugh like an idiot to myself when i think about us. the best thing i took away from season was this silly team. i feel so fiercely protective of them, ready to defend. i have the best days hanging out with them- the No Friends Club, muddy as hell trainings, days when we let exhaustion get the better of us, times when i want to bite off someone's nose, but also, also the Klever Pranks, Shared Jokes (what's up, how's life, what u doing, soobag, supermario!, clara's poot, SO MANY SO MANY) , Bullying (usually with me as a victim, albeit very unwillingly, and also helpless victims of the GangBang) and Teasing about best friends.

slept at 530 talking to them i can't really remember what we were talking about, except that sarah nodded off at around 3 plus then woke up again at sporadic intervals upon hearing her name. very few people went which was :( but it was good talking and fooling around with those who went. i got a bit high in the wee hours of the morning after we got over the scarefest which stretched from dinner till the beginning of night surprise (thanks j1s :D it was a really sweet night surprise)

i guess i was kind of stressed out over how i was going to miss out on 2 days of studying but it was a fair trade- 2 days of studying can't beat 2 days of pure pure fun even though now i am Smelly, Sunburnt and Exhausted (but i have already showered so now i am no longer smelly). i miss trainings, the adrenaline rush, contact, the moves, but most of all, the team.

so this is what being in a team feels like [: it's been worth it to get to the end and find out that it was this good."

I ended up just uploading one photo of the forever blissful-looking Clara, and her friend Tania.

Plus I wanted to like type a reasonably long entry - but yeah lazy. So I shall summarize: Team A fought hard and emerged Plate Champs. Though they didn't play that well against RP and NYJC in the first two games. But like Khai said: What has happened cannot be undone, cannot be replayed. No regrets. Ok anyway, Team B fought hard and emerged Bowl Champs. I only watched two of their matches so can't really say anything - therefore, anyone from Team B, pls give us an update! (: Ok lastly, truthfully, I just wanna say that M1 Touch this time wasn't as fulfilling as the last. Both Teams A and B got cup runners up then. I wished both teams had played better, had more hunger. We can't blame the heat or the sun or our cramped thighs or calves or loose ankles. It's kinda sad and disappointing to leave touch rugby like this. Honestly, I was hoping for a big bang. Khai and Derelyn always tell us not to have regrets. But I just can't help feeling that we could have done better. There were matches that we played badly or really badly, but there were even more matches that we did well or exceptionally well. Regardless of the results or outcome of a match or competition, I am sure all of us here have learned a whole lot about the game of touch rugby. We have improved as a team, we have won as a team and we have lost as a team. No one player can be credited for a win and either can she be blamed for a loss. This could be the end for us (till after our A levels). So study hard guys! After acing our As, we can play touch all day long!

feel really bad for the guys. we were all kinda psyched up about the competition and yet only after playing ONE match, it rained. miao had a really bad day and when he came, we just finished our first game and well.. the tournament was cancelled, so that means he didn't even play at all. ck pulled his muscle. and well.. it was rather disappointing. but i hope that at least now the guys will know that touch is not a simple game and that there are people out there who play so much better than them so they can stop being cocky already =P still, thank you to shouyee (authorityabuservicecaptain), chenkai, miao, weiren, loon, danny.

it was super hot. and only i think 8 people turned up!! yay, siok came for PT!! there was only 3 j2s - siok, toffa and i. tsk. but it was fun! haha surprisingly. really need to work on my fitness man, though i think it's too late.

23may rugby mania!
this day was awesomee. it was a nitty gritty tough fight all the way to sudden death. zhehan was hero of the day! the rest of the rugby team really deserve all the kudos as well for every match they played, the injuries they suffered. i miss contact! it was when you didn't have to be afraid of getting touched. haha.. and it was just an all out kinda game as compared to touch. like you'll just dive without a second thought. just WHACK! touch is so much more civilised in comparison. haha. but of course touch is still FIRST LOVE! wah that reminds me that playing blacksfuntouch was soo awesome. will elaborate more later. yup and thank you so much NJC for agreeing to play with us at such late notice. i hope that this exhibition match managed to create better awareness about touch rugby though i actually doubt.. =P you never really understand or come to love a game until you start playing it. btw, heh. WHO was the roving reporter/photographer?! heehee the reason why you can see the haka and all the coolios pics of our champions? =D had to be so thick-skinned can!

yay i had so much fun, and the food was awesome. $28.8 for sirloin steak pirates meal, earthquake, and seafood tomato chowder was yummilicious. but it took forever for us to settle the bill. we should have more regular team dinners and not just the end-of-term ones. =)

28may TRAINING
i hope this will not be our last training cos it was slightly anti-climax. firstly, not many people turned up (i hope you all get better soon!). secondly, khai had to rush off for his own game. and of course, DERELYN is in perth! =( but I had so much fun and honestly i guess i was rushing on adrenaline (plus eating snickers!). after training, few of us stayed back and had a 'heart-to-heart' talk =) like the sky was dark and we were sitting in a circle on the field near the rugbypost and then the specs gallery light was turned on and it was so =) i cannot imagine how life would be like without playing touch. but that day is imminent. oh dear.

maybe tomorrow, i'll go running. HA! as if that would happen. but really gotta psyche myself up for m1 on wed. it might really be our last tournament though.. i don't want it to be. the last m1 was such an emotional affair and we knew it was just one of our 'last few' tournaments. i'm scared, anticipating, anxious, excited, worried etc etc. omg, feeling butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it. it's kinda weird if m1 IS our last tournament and yet we are having our camp next week. haha.. like what for? last bonding? lol. sorry sorry. i mean i love the camp but it was kinda for the running up towards nationals. This is Captain Jack Sparrow speaking. (I want to say Captain Toffa, but it sounds very egoistic and stupid. Plus my name just doesn't go with the word captain. In other words, I am humble.) Ok anyway, there was Blacks Funtouch on Saturday. Three J1 teams took part - Yanyi and I were back up cos Karen and Clara couldn't make it anymore. I was part of RJC A along with Min, Oli and Michelle. Had a good time (: OH AND I GOT PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN PHONE ACCESSORIES! HOW RAD IS THAT, MAN!?!?! Ok sorry for that. Our J1s have improved a lot and I'm really proud of all of them. J1s if you're reading this, continue to work hard! Anyway, there's M1 Touch this Wednesday. And final trng before the competition is TODAY! Unfortunately, Derel's away and will also be missing M1 ): But nonetheless, strive on guys! We're gonna clinch the cup champion trophy this time! Final score was 53-42 to us! (: But I apologise for missing the exhibition match with NJC. I am truly sorry. And my apologies to Siok and Shiwei also. I really appreciate all you guys playing on such a hot and sunny afternoon. And many thanks to the NJC team too cos they were willing to come down and play with us despite the last minute stuff. Our rugby guys brought home the champion trophy! Beating AC in the finals! Congrats guys (: And that final kick by Zhe Han was awesome (:

Wah, Chee Meng reminds me of Cleopatra in that picture. Why he sit like that?!?! Yep blogger interface looks normal again. But anyway, SMU Carnival today was screwed cos it rained, there was lighting and thunder, the mixed team only got the chance to play ONE game, each person had to pay $12.50, I was bored and the whole carnival was canceled. Oh and RP is in Woodlands WTF. Though I must say I love the look of the school. The empty corridors, the clean white walls, the awesome interior design furniture, the swimming pool(s), the field and of course, the ultra spacious toilet at the sports complex. RP even has a House of Lobster. Like how coolios is that man. Well after the event, we went to Mos at Causeway Point. Why can't Mos be halal? Gosh the guys are worse than you girls ah. They walk really slow. They dunno whether to take bus or walk or take cab. They talk alot of cock. But I still think we're more retarded than them. Well maybe for the exception of Loon. so as i was saying.. we will be having a touch exhibition match between the rugby (guys, adiv nationals championships) cup and plate finals on the 23 may (wed). this was first brought to toffa/my attention on 9 april when we met with ccab and finally we've got news today that it's confirmed! so it'll be held at Police Academy. apparently we'll be playing ACS(I) girls touch rugby for the match, maybe it's a prelude to the actual cup finals between RJ and ACS(I)? really excited about this. will probably be our first time playing a match with 'supporters', will definitely be kinda odd. it'll be a 15min flat game. whoah exciting =)

hello all,

latest news from derelyn!

there'll be a contact rugby 15s league this june, the competition will spread over 3 saturdays, 1 game every sat, the first 3 weeks of june. training will start this sunday from 3pm or 3:30pm =$ at farrer park. and after training this sunday there'll be a blacks BBQ that derelyn highly encourages us to go. training will be under blacks every sunday. we will most probably have to combine with SA/NYP/SP because the team will have to consist of at least 15 players (plus subs). if you guys are interested, feel free to sms me and let me know preferbly asap. yup yup. it's really quite exciting. =) yup, the timing is a bit off because of A's and what not but do think about it carefully. yup yup. everything is free btw. maybe we could go down as a team this sunday and see how? at least give it a try or something. heh.

touch training tomorrow with the guys (for smu touch carn) from 2:30pm onwards till about 4:30pm. we'll be meeting at the main field first. yup yup, if you guys are free, even if you're not in the mixed team do come down and play touch too. long time since we did that. =)

TODAY was PT day (like how all mondays are PT days) and guess what? NO J2 turned up except for ME (and toffa, kinda). To be honest, I didn't do but I was under the hot sun with the J1s k, doing super overdued lit essays. Most of the J1s came!! last week PT was cancelled cos of J1 exco interviews, so technically J2s only had PT once so far!! And the J1s already had it 3 times. tsk tsk.. good example we're setting man. but it's okay! benefit of doubt- that you guys are doing the PT modules on your own =)

toffa and I kena bullied by 'rugby capt' cheeemeeengg, on separate occasions. tsk. he say we so slack that's why never win any competitions !!! Make J1s do PT and then we never do. damn pissed off.

We'll be having training before that. so will probably watch the rugby match. sadly don't think can support softball who has been rather kindly sharing the field with us. whee but that means we'll have the main field all to ourselves when their season ends! hahaha. =)

Ok I hope this gets published cos currently, I'm typing in a screwed up looking interface. Ogays, anyway, finally/at long last/good god/hallelujah we have a new layout! I hope you guys like it. It's not bad la, but not spectacular cos my design skills are like pffft. It looks okay in both IE and Firefox although the scrollbar is ugly when viewed in the latter. So anyone good with html - can help me with the scrollbar? and can someone change the tagboard colour to match the layout? Thanks (: Anyway this is my first ever layout done in Blogger! - I've never bothered to learn and understand Blogger tags. Lazy. Is it just me or is blogger screwed up again? Bah. I'm here to update because our juniors' blogs are updated almost everyday! ohmy. so that made me feel kinda guilty so we've gotta try to make this blog more alive!! haven't been online for the past few days. feels kinda liberated from my addiction to the internet. heh

anyone has any suggestions on a new layout? I really like toffa's idea of having a collage of the whole team with each individual having a 'candid' snapshot of they usual/fav/common expression. That'll be kinda cool, but a little tedious eh?

the contact tournament was unfortunately postphoned due to bad field conditions at farrer park. -.- oh wells. not too sure when it's postphoned till, yet. hope contact training today at farrer park with weiyi was fun. =)

derelyn and khai are in hongkong now. so fun!!

new j1 exco was announced yesterday, so for those who are interested to know:

hello all! thank you so much for all the concern. sorry for all the trouble and worrying. i'm fine now. =)

I can't really remember how the collision with the NYJC girl occurred, but I thought NY had the ball and I went up to touch as a defender and then I somehow collided with someone. I think the ref said changeover cos it was the 6th touch then I was about the roll ball when I realise blood was dripping down from my head, then I thought it was the NY girl's blood (like how we all like to be in denial - it'll never happen to me, kinda thing) until I realised that the blood wouldn't stop 'cascading' (sorry for lack of a better word but that was seriously how i felt) down my face. lol, it kept going into my mouth.

I feel really bad cos I think it was the same girl that people thought i 'rough-touch' her. It was seriously not a rough touch (or even deliberate), I went up for one girl (the link) then she passed it to her wing (which is the girl) so as a link, I had to go for her as well, so she was kinda behind me, so I turned around to chase her and i just tapped her back and the momentum of both of us running in the direction of the tap caused her to fall forward. then it's because that was the side where all the NY people were standing so it was quite tension. =$ But the field condition was really quite bad (waterlogged and slippery) cos of the rain before that and there was this huge puddle of water that one could really drown in (if playing contact and you were taupok at the puddle).

Managed to get her number from a friend who's in NY. Apologised and all but still feel quite bad, I mean she lost one tooth and chipped another. I got 5 stitches, but it still bugs me that it was just a friendlies and this accident had to occur. I read in a book (Killing Floor by Lee Child) that the forehead is the hardest part of the body/skull so I wasn't really very worried, just didn't want to have stitches. But Derelyn was like confirm have stitches kinda then I was like 'huh~...' If I had gotten this during a contact match, I think I would mind it much less. Cos it's just damn retarded to get it during a touch match and what more friendlies. so much trouble caused.

Derelyn, Khai and Sarah went down with me to TTS hospital and Mdm Low had to go down too. Parents had to rush down as well after work. Really want to thank all, especially the coaches and sarah chan (thank you sarah for going down with me, carrying my bags and wheeling me around). I have to say that the A&E is not very in a fluster of activity, everything there is so slow-paced and relaxed it's quite amusing. I reached there probably around 6pm and only managed to leave at 10pm. They didn't clean my wound until before they actually did the stitching (which was probably around 9pm) and the doc was going on before that about getting infection and all that's why I have to get a tetanus injection and stitching (I asked her if I can don't get stitching then she say the open wound will be vulnerable to infection) then all the while I was thinking when are they ever going to clean the wound.

I'm sorry for rambling, but my blog is somehow down so I really need somewhere to vent about the efficiency of the A&E wing. Cos my dad couldn't go in with me and had to wait outside for damn long, plus he was flying off early the next morning. And my mum who could go in but couldn't go in when I was being stitched also waited really long. Everyone was just waiting and I was thinking was there anybody actually being treated on. I mean I'm okay with being put on waiting list since I don't think my situation was that serious but it was like nothing was actually happening. But the doctor and nurses were really nice, so a big thank you.

Can't really move my eyebrows or frown or sneeze or the wound would hurt (feels like I had botox). My left arm is still numb from the tetanus shot. Other than that I'm fine. =) Will be going to a polyclinic on saturday morning for a follow up then wednesday morning to remove the stitches. Have MC up till Tuesday, but might go to school on monday depending. heh. Not sure if I'll be fit to play for the contact competition on wed, but I don't think my parents will allow, coaches kinda said no too. ARGH. oh wells, all because of a stupid mistake from me. think I was damn ganchiong on the field, over pumped up. lesson learnt.

Sarahchan and Karwei keep saying now I've got a harry potter scar. Most say it's cool that now I have a battle scar. haha.. but my mum thinks I'm disfigured and have to go for plastic surgery... I have no idea how the wound looks like before or after stitching. haha.. ignorance is bliss.

anyways, train hard everybody and all the best for the competition. I'll definitely go down at least to watch and support if I can't play. sorry once again for all the trouble. thank you for the concern! =)

whoots. this entry is dedicated to yanyi, our wonderful vice-captain:

so we had friendlies at nyjc today, 4 matches with the j2s kicking it off.
1st match: hmmm. we weren't really playing well. guess derelyn kinda wanted us to have control of our own game, like she told us to be disciplined and sub ourselves, and like defend well etc... but = yeah. guess all of us got abit stressed out. okay we all know what happened yeah from debrief etc, shan't elaborate >_< yeah anw. so there was quite alot of drama, as yy was going for the touch, she and a ny girl collided -- she was against two defenders!-- oh man. yeah so the ny girl lost a tooth and fractured another, whilst our dear yy got a deep cut on her forehead and had to go for stitches 0_0 yeah she was really brave the whole time [my hero-ine], kept asking if the ny girl was alright etc, and joking around with us somemore, when we said she looked like the sushi guy who butchered the fish and bloodied his shirt, and she said she looked like the fishballnoodles uncle from our school who always has this towel tied around his head. wahaha. take care dear!!!

2nd match: this match was played by the j1s, honestly i didn't really watch the game = coz we were having teamtalk for the following match... >_<

3rd match: okay so we played the j1s in the end, coz the j2s went to visit their friend = yeps. before we went it, we cheered YY! instead of raffles whoosh =) for our yanyi. haha. must say this match was much better, we worked our fly defence well i think =) everyone was playing really well on the field, and we kept it at their half always. ohoh! and toffa did this slick move sidestepping somewhat this girl and scoring a try, and lots of other stuff too, our usual cool toffa =) and not forgetting her magical interceptions heh. yeps ypes. yay for us! =) oh and the nyj peeps were really nice, came over to ask us bout yy...

4th match: j1s on the field again, darno what their usual standard is, so can't really comment much... but there were quite a few good defensive moves -- nice cover -- and nice dumps etc... keep going!!! =)

okay someone update on the j1s match umm val here really darno much... heh sorry paiseh =

ANW!!! back to our sumo-sushi-fishball friend: yanyi! thought she really showed us the spirit today, rushing down after her tuition and straightaway going into the field and playing. and the way she played... =)

i couldn't help but post to say that i'm really proud of our team, both team 1 and 2. i thought that many of us really up-ed our game. we're just damn suay. always so near yet so far. bloody hell =P

team 1:
we really fought very hard for the finals. =) it'll be one that i'll never forget. we had our ups and downs throughout this whole tournament, but we always fought back hard. we never gave up! :D fudge those pixies. we played a good clean game.

we were so focused on the tournament we hardly cam-whored. hehe. but that's good!

no worries. toffa and i will work really hard to make sure nationals are held this year :)

i was inspired by toffa to post. and amazingly this worked. that is if you do see this post appearing. anyways, an update.

LFS
the J1s were really good. as toffa said, they had only punchups and switches, but they held their ground rather well. lots of room for improvements but i see potential. J2s who are interested to join feel free to come join us on mondays. we no longer cab down from school, which i remember cost us $1 each per ride, but we take bus 55 down from the bus stop opp j8. it's a rather enjoyable experience to crowd the whole 2nd deck of a double decker bus. and really noisy too.

trainings
there are 3 training sessons left to m1. friday afternoon (430-630), sat morn and mon morn (TBC: time and venue). please do try as much as possible to come down for training. m1 will be sending two teams =)

please let val know asap who can/cannot turn up. we made a reservation at secret recipe but we will need to know the exact number of people. yup yup. i highly recommend the brownie with ice cream, and the tomyam noodle. yum. j3s feel free to join us!

HELLO OK I HOPE THIS GETS POSTED COS THIS GOOGLE BLOGGER THING IS GROSSLY ANNOYING COS THE OTHER TIMES I COULDN'T POST AND WASTED A LOT OF TIME TRYING TO AND FIGURING OUT HOW TO BLOODY USE THIS GOOGLE BLOGGER CRAP. YEP. SO HERE GOES:

M1 TOUCH coming soon! - 14 march, but the number of trainings before the competition is left to THREE? and we haven't been training much or properly due to the rain and lack of space in school. Seriously, whoever designed our school needs to get another day job. Because of him/her/it, we had to resort to training in the car park between and among cars - and nearly had one of our beloved cones ran over. Our poor little blue cone. Plus, due to the rain, we had to train coach-less last Friday, under the GO. But at least, PT was good; and the 4.5 sets of suicides were fun.

The J1s will be competing in their maiden match against LFS at LFS tomorrow. All the best to them! Though truthfully, I feel quite sad for them cos they only know simple punch ups and switches. But as our coaches always say, even the simplest of moves can win you the match. Remember our LFS matches last year? We were usually ultra clueless and lost on the field. Oh yes and it was that time last year when Candice, Resh and Yvonne were still active in touch. Well, our only weapon (initially) against our adversaries was punch ups. I think we only won like a couple of games out of the many we played. But the experience is invaluable, agree? :D Well I guess, the LFS league set us on the right path to erm, touch rug supahstardom and invincibility. Yes.

during the game, dummy-half angmoh girl got caught and refused to give me the ball. she was prancing about with the ball like an idiot (wasting our time).

Oasis Touch was great (: I've no idea why it's Oasis though. Lost the first two games. 3-0 to UWC, 2-0 to LFS A. Then we won 3 games. 2-0 against OFS (haha coach Khai told us to attack the blondes :P who were basically the RPs), 2-1 against LFS B and 2-0 against TP Babies. We made it to the semis but lost to UWC 2-0. It was like the game of my life. Really. Never felt so good after a match despite not winning. Well I guess, winning isn't everything. We really fought hard and I'm really proud of the Oasis team (: Well done! This experience shows that we can really go much further and do much better. So heads up and let's look towards Asian All Schs in Dec! :D And after that whole experience, it made me appreciate and love the team even more...

Our black n gold jerseys are gorgeous! Haha Val u made me so worried! But the white one's kinda ugly but it's ok. Ms Wu was saying that we get iron-on school crests from the school then iron on the front. Anyway, many thanks to Sarah, Val, YY and Shan for getting the jerseys done! Eh J1s, yall better thank them for having to endure the jersey supplier for like 2 months? Creep. And oh, those who owe $$ pay $$ pls!

Anyway, dinner at Gluttons Bay was awesome. Too bad I couldn't eat much cos some dishes weren't halal. The oyster omelette looked so darn good but justina said the oyster just tastes like oil. Satay was good but it wasn't the best I've had. :P But it's ok, it's the company that matters. Haha and we saw Paul Twohill. I think Sab saw him first? And he walked by our tables and I was like so darn cool. Yo man. Can I get a photo with you? Nyahah.

hello! im here in an attempt to revive this blog. =) [and also cos im bored and tired and just feel like sitting here moving only my fingers.]

today's trng was HOT man. all of us were like turning into lobsters. my cheeks were damn painful. >.< and i rmb hearing nikki say that even her eyelids hurt. LOL. anw we have to thank taitai v for providing boiled sunblock. XD i think i didnt tell v this but ur sunblock smells really good! haha. =) she also brought facial wash so after trng, we were all washing our faces in the toilet. lol. and thankyou lemin for being our watergirl for a while. it's the moral support that counts. haha. =) oh and khai was hilarious! he was like allocating positions... "toffa...center. viola...center. cara...link/center. etc etc then lemin...broken toe." lol.

anw we played nyp, sa and sp (sorta). so proud of everyone who went today! =) although the weather was crap and we had so few subs...the team played our best to the end of each game. and we managed to try out some moves! it was so cool when they worked. i rmb v's dummy break with toffa's finishing and quite a few successful backdoors and...what else huh? heh. anw well done people! ^^

so many funny things happened during trng today! i can still laugh while thinking abt them and i think i will continue laughing until next trng. hahaha. like val who threw toffa's slipper over the wall at the top of the specs gall onto some platform (?) which (according to toffa) had a lot of shit on it. lol. then we had to lift toffa up there in order to retrieve her slipper and it was like some noob/screwed up cheerleading stunt thingy. lol. we shld have left her stranded there though! XD i wish i had brought my cam to capture toffa's expression when her slipper flew above her head. hahaha. anw val apologised to toffa after that and toffa said in this cold voice: "say sorry only when u mean it." it was hilarious! lol.

there was also khai and his flower. he found it on the nyp field and got so excited. lol.

then there were the funny things that happened at nyp macs. (i wish they have aircon there but anw. >.<) we were queueing at the counter when justina opened her wallet and revealed this photo of her, me, xt and tania. i didnt know that she kept that photo in her wallet so i was like "oh! that's me!". and smarty toffa was like "huh? where? where??" cos she thought i saw myself on some advertisment for macs. -.-" lol.

me, toffa, justina, v and clara were like eating and discussing games for touch xmas gathering. then we decided to "try out" the games. haha. we played circuit (?) and tee teeteeteetee teetee. (uh u know..the finger game?lol.) wah i died first for both games la! -.-^ lol. the teex7 game was esp funny cos toffa tried to act cool and sabo other people but after a while ended up jacking herself like 3 times. lol. but toffa and i managed to get the first finger out from clara!! (who was arguably the zaiest at the game) so we were damn proud of ourselves. hehe. =) i cant believe how serious we were while playing that stupid game. lol. die die must kill one person (who turned out to be ME. T___T) before we end the game and leave. v was super funny! she had like 3 or 4 fingers out and she stopped the game so that she cld practise. under the table somemore! like some secret move. lol. anw i hope we didnt kana blacklisted or anything for making too much noise. >.< we received a few erm. looks from the people ard us. lol. sorry!
