YAY!
val made me blog. indirectly. haha. cos she wanted to blog i think, then i came in to test. and it worked! muahaha.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funny_old_game/games/4654596.stmanyway, that's the link of the
virtual rugby game. there's 6 stations (tackling, passing, scrums, lineouts, kicking, advanced kicking) then there are 4 gradings (international 5/5, england a 4/5 and academy 3/5, you need at least 3 to pass). after training a bit, go play the 6 nations game, where you go up against (if you choose your team as england) italy, scotland, ireland, wales and france. winning each game, unlocks the next one. credit:miao
currently my standings are (HEE)
INTERNATIONAL - scrums, lineouts, kicking
ENGLAND A - advanced kicking
ACADEMY - tackling
yet to pass - passing
my scoreline for 6 nations (won, my team's england)-
Italy- 28-19
Scotland- 35-14
Ireland- 10-7
Wales- 16-14
France- 17-7
Defence and tackling is a pain. HAHA. I just ran through all, going to try better my scores after prelims. Suddenly feel damn no lifer. HAHAHA.
http://en.rugbyworldcup.com/live/competitions/rwc/matchcentre/matchday=2/day=1/match=10074/index.html that's RWC's
rugby tracker. it's quite cool. posts the timeline for the tries, conversions, penalties, red cards, yellow cards, substituting etc. but you might not want to give RWC hits for being such a monopoly! haha.
http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/fanzone/index.htmlFANTASY RUGBY. you form your own team of 15, then collect points when your team scores tries, conversions, line breaks, plays for at least 50 mins etc. it's free. but the first round has closed, next round starts 19 sept. we can form our own league!! haha..

check out the
try savers and rib breakers tag. i found it hilariously amusing. great stress reliever for prelims and a's! but it's quite scary too. haha. a violent gentleman's sport. the brian lima (Chiropractor) kena knocked out when he went to tackle someone. karma. the try savers and rib breakers showed some of his tackles. siao. like a bulldozer.

!!! I want to watch this match! SIAN. =( england's gonna get thrashed. hopefully andrew ferrell helps the team! (
edit! latest news that no longer ferrell but mike catt. which is dumb cos all over all the newspapers and interviews he's been 'bragging' that he will be able to step up and take on this national duty -.-)
there's this bonus point thing i found out while reading the newspapers. 4 tries (at least) get one bonus point and losing teams who lose by close margin of 7 points or less also get bonus point. so if you lose 7 points or less but score at least 4 tries, do you get 2 bonus points? winners get 4 points. so in this case, winners get 5 points (4+1 bonus) and losers get 2 points. wah. haha.
TOP OF THE POOLSPool A -
South Africa, England, Tonga, USA, Samoa (therefore the England-SA match will determine who plays the Wallabies, losers meet the Aussies)
Pool B -
Australia, Wales, Fiji, Japan, Canada
Pool C -
New Zealand, Scotland, Italy, Romania, Portugal (Portugal playing NZ next!)
Pool D -
Argentina, Ireland, France, Namibia, Georgia (hosts are 3rd with one point only!)
Want to share something from rugbydump-
They slowed Ireland's ball, they defended courageously and they attacked opportunistically. The final score was 32-17 in Ireland's favour, but really, it was a night the Namibians will never forget. A night when college players took on seasoned professionals in the game we all love. This was the true spirit of rugby. Playing for the man next to you and never giving up is the way rugby was always meant to be played. Here's to Namibia and all developing rugby nations. If the World Cup has shown us one thing so far, it's that these smaller nations undoubtedly deserve their place on stage, as supporting roles in the greatest show on earth.
haha. i keep editing the post :$
