we SURVIVED!

hello all!

karwei! it's SRU (singapore rugby union) not SRC (singapore recreation club) =P

WHEE!!! =) i'm super proud of you guys. all games were 10mins, with finals being 7-1-7. justina and tania helped wrote some notes in my notebook so here they are-

GAME 1 (GROUP): RJC vs PJC 2
Clara . TRY!
Toffa . TRY!
Karwei . illegal tackle (it's okay! we know it's because of the height difference =))
Sarah . TRY!
Toffa . TRY!
Huishan . illegal tackle (once again, it's the height!)

in general- good tackles everyone. nice cover.

we beat our first-game syndrome! =) there was no conversion because we didn't know about it, no one knew. and it was the first game. and the ref was also blur. so score was 20-0.


GAME 2 (GROUP): RJC vs Blacks Hyenas (SA/NYP)
Karwei . illegal tackle (oops)
Toffa . TRY! CONVERSION!
Toffa . TRY! CONVERSION!

in general- good tackles. brought them down.

woot! toffa was THE BOMB! final score: 14-0

then I think they went off after that, so they didn't wrote anything for the semis and finals. erm. let me try to recall.


GAME 3 (CUP SEMIS): RJC vs BLACKS CHEETAH (SA/NYP, 1st team)
i don't really remember =$ so someone please help! but we won and I don't think Blacks Cheetah scored.


GAME 4 (CUP FINALS): RJC vs SP ANGELS (SINGAPORE POLY)
1st half-
Toffa . TRY! CONVERSION! 7pts
SP's long haired keyplayer . TRY! no conversion 5pts
RJC is leading

2nd half-
some good breaks by RJ but kena tackled. many penalties given to SP at the tryline (last 3 mins), RJ held their ground at defence but SP scored eventually (last 1-2 mins). NO conversion

BLAH. final score: 7-10

We saw a team which was fearless, confident, hungry for the win and selfless.. but more importantly we saw a team full of heart! big hearts! and we as coaches cannot ask for anything more. well done raffles.. well done..

IT's OKAY! we had a great late lunch at kfc (yummy cheesy melts. haha.) and there are still many competitions for us to sweep champions. There's.. erm (haha okay maybe this one not really..) SMU TOUCH CARNIVAL (in the end, we were late for registration and will probably send in 1 team in the MIXED OPEN, playing against our coaches! omg. i wanna back out now. haha..), M1 SCHOOLS RUGBY SERIES (we topped the round robin stage but had our champions standings swipped away in the last second after fighting soo hard till sudden death and were CUP RUNNER UPS in march, but this time we'll take our CUP CHAMPIONS POSITION BACK!) and NATIONAL SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS (it will materialise!!). so we're still going to fight as hard as ever if not harder! =) It's back to full-time TOUCH RUGBY!

whee. RAFFLES TOUCH RUGBY ALL THE WAY!
